One World Translation was founded by Carolina Weaver, an English/Spanish bilingual medical nurse case manager working in the field with injured workers for insurance companies.

Her expertise was to streamline medical care and get the injured worker patients back to work. Doing this gave her the opportunity to assess the interpreting industry on the “front lines”, where she realized she could uniquely contribute to the art of professional interpreting and elevate the standards of the industry. This became her mission and she started the company in 2002.
